Help Desk Intern


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provisions, installs, configures, and maintains end-user workstations/laptops
  • Supports end-user escalations and change requests
  • Supports server operations and maintenance (backups, logs, patches, upgrades, installs)
  • Supports network devices – Printers, Faxes, Mobile devices, etc
  • Monitors production servers (performance, capacity planning)
  • Researches, tests, and troubleshoots escalated hosting issues

Required Skills:

  • Basic application troubleshooting skills on both Windows and Mac Operating Systems
  • Extensive troubleshooting experience with Windows XP and Windows 7
  • Expertise with Windows 2003/2008 Servers
  • Expertise with Blackberry Enterprise Server
  • Expertise with Windows networking technologies: DNS, DHCP
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, IIS 6.0, 7.0, Print Server Management
  • Good experience with Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewalls (preferably ASA 5500 series)
  • Experience with Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.5
  • Experience with Backup Exec

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with MAC OS and networking
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi 4.1
  • HP Storage Management Utility
  • Experience with SharePoint Administration
  • Experience with Shoretel IP Phones


Required Experience:

Recent grad or students currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
